Mason's belly was hurting so I laid him across my legs. He managed to wiggle around and feel asleep like this.
Haiden playing on his new playset!

Ella wanted to wear a bib since Mason had one on.

Six weeks old and already a heartbreaker.

Like Father, like son.

Being little monkeys

We continue to be very busy at the McKinney house! Mason is getting so big. He smiled at us for the first time and is starting to follow objects with his eyes. He is still a party animal and likes to stay up late. Ella is doing much better adjusting to the changes. She is starting to say more words and is using sign language more consistently. First Steps in coming out to our house this week to get speech services started. Everyday she makes me laugh. She has such a big personality and loves to entertain. Haiden is still doing awesome! His memory seems to be much better (he is making himself pay attention) and he is thinking problems out on his own a little more. He is still obsessed with Wheel of Fortune but can now read and write his numbers to the hundred thousand place value. He starts Kindergarten in 3 weeks! I can't believe it.

I spent last Friday night in the hospital with a ruptured ovarian cysts, not fun at all. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband because he was so helpful while I spent the weekend recovering. Today I am feeling much better.

We have a very busy week ahead of us. We are going to our friends, the Haaks, this evening for a cookout at their new house! Tomorrow we have a play date with my friend Stacy and her two kids. My mom is coming up on Thursday and we are taking Haiden to the Dave Matthew's concert Friday night!

Look at those big eyes!
Haiden was so excited to go bowling!

My little prince!

Haiden loves throwing rocks into the water at the park.

Throwing rocks in the creek at the park except Ella didn't want to let go of her rock.

Making a goofy face at the park

My three little ones are keeping me very busy. Haiden is really starting to like Mason. He even wants to hold him now. Ella is still trying to adjust and doesn't like sharing the attention. She is going to her ENT this week for a hearing test. She still has a difficult time communicating with us and this causes her a ton of frustration. We have started to use sign language and this seems to help. Mason is an awesome baby. He is starting to get his days and nights in order.

We keep busy by going on playdates, the park, and library each week. I am still trying to learn how to juggle it all but it seems to be getting a little easier. I've also started to work out in the evenings and I feel great. I attended my first Tae Kwon Do and Yoga classes this week. Tonight I am going to Zumba which is latin dancing, I can't wait.

Our Funny Little Man

Haiden continues to make me laugh everyday. The other night he wanted me to check on him after he went to bed. I got busy with other things and forgot. Soon I hear little feet and Haiden was upset that I didn't check on him. He said, "Mommy, I love you infinity." He continued by saying, "I love your eyes, I love everything about you, I love you Mommy, Good Night."
Tonight I started his shower and then stepped on the scale. He came running over, bent down, and said, "Oh my gosh! You weigh a lot!" I laughed out loud.

Mason is getting so big. I can't believe he is already 4 weeks old.
Capturing a moment while they still like each other. (A few minutes later she was picking on him again.)

Look at that swing! I bet Granny and Gramps are proud.

Haiden golfing with Daddy.

Ella painting a beautiful picture. It only took 8 hours to dry.

Ella thought it would be funny to smear ketchup all over her face.

This has been a great week so far! Haiden continues to do well even after eating a forbidden food. Ella has been trying really hard to use her words instead of screaming. Today she said a few new words, my favorite was "my bike" after riding her tricycle.
Brian took Haiden to West Chase Golf Course today and they played 9 holes. Haiden was estatic and said he almost made a hole in one. He also loved helping Brian drive the golf cart. Haiden hit the ball about 50 yards and made a 10 foot putt. Of course Daddy was very proud!

A Good Sign

We may have had a good sign that Haiden's diet is healing his gut. At our friends house yesterday Haiden had a bagel which is a forbidden food since it has milk, eggs, and gluten in it. He didn't have any negative side effects! No upset stomach, no odd behaviors, no change in attention, and regular bowels!
Haiden and Ella were giving Mason kisses.
Happy Fourth of July!

Exhausted!

Haiden helping Daddy build the fire pit.

Ella felt more comfortable playing the games.

Haiden loved the motorcycles.

Ella's not so sure about this.

We have had a busy week! On Monday my friend Stacy came over with her two kids, Lauren and Parker. Lauren and Haiden are 6 weeks apart and Parker and Ella are 6 weeks apart. On Tuesday we went to our town's Fourth of July festival. Ella got on one ride but they had to stop it because she was so scared. She just watched Haiden ride for the rest of the night and Mason slept. On Thursday my friend Tara came over with her two kids, Brady and Cole. Haiden and Brady played well together while Cole and Mason slept the entire time. We love having the Sablehaus family close by and look forward to our kids growing up together. Friday Brian and Haiden build a fire pit in our backyard and we roasted marshmellows. We also went to the library so Haiden and Ella could claim their prize for reading this week. Haiden got another coupon for a free game of bowling. On July 4th we went to our town's parade, the kids had a blast, well Mason slept the entire time. We then went to the Mitchell's house for a wonderful lunch and then had the Knight family over to celebrate July 4th! Brian and Nikki have three children, Dagan, Stokes, and Auria. Due to the weather we lit sparklers inside the garage and got smoked out!
